About Paul Da Prince

Paul Da Prince (Paul Munanjala), born 8th December 1991, started singing in his early childhood days, performing to songs of Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, and Usher. He then went on to participate in a singing competition on Muvi Television in Lusaka, Zambia in 2007, reaching the finals and scooping second place.

Paul went on to pursue his media ambitions and career by working for Muvi TV the following year, presenting young people’s programmes and acquiring skills in TV production.

In 2012, he decided to pursue a degree in Electronic Media and Drama at the University of Namibia. Along the journey, he continued to record music and study at the same time. Paul was very active at UNAM, choreographing dance moves for pageants, hosting events, deejaying and working part-time for the Marketing department.

Paul went on to host the Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) for the first time in 2015 during his final year at UNAM. He went on to join the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation as a TV presenter for a popular youth show ‘Whatagwan’ the same year. He has since established himself as one of the leading young people in the Namibian media industry since then, he has hosted the NAMAs for three consecutive years as well as various high-profile events like the Trey Songz concert in 2015.

He also hosts a weekly radio show on NBC National Radio as well as a popular magazine show ‘Kumwesu’ on DSTV’s Zambezi Magic channel 160. Paul is a Brothers for Life Zambia ambassador alongside the first Republican President Dr. Kenneth Kaunda and a few other prominent members of society in Zambia. He is also a blood donation ambassador with the Namibian Blood Transfusion Service.

His debut album ‘Paul Da Prince’ was well received and he is preparing his sophomore project which is slated for release early 2018.
